Pricing for our Services

Sunset Veterinary Services was founded to provide loving, compassionate, and individualized care in the comfort of your home.

In-Home-Consultations and Quality of Life Exams

Our prices start out at $310.00 for an in-home consultation and vary based on time spent in your home. Please contact us for detailed pricing.

Dr. Lisa will examine your pet, discuss past, and current medical conditions, and discuss what quality of life means in detail. Together you and Dr. Lisa will devise a plan that suits your pet’s needs and yours. And then you and Dr. Lisa will keep in close contact via text, email and phone to make sure all your questions are being answered.

In home “meet and greet”

Sometimes an in-depth quality of life consultation is not needed, and our pet parents would like to meet Dr. Lisa prior to scheduling end of life care. These visits are typically shorter, and they start at $190.00. Please contact us to decide if a meet and greet is right for you.

In-Home Euthanasia

Prices start at $375.00 for in-home euthanasia and are based on weight, aftercare wishes, and travel time. Please call us for detailed pricing.

Aftercare

Individual Cremation: Cremation is provided for your pet individually and your pet’s cremains are returned to you.

Communal Cremation: Cremation is provided communally (with other animals), and your pets’ cremains will be scattered for you in a natural setting.

Memorial Keepsakes are available to order and may include clay or ink paw prints as well as ink nose prints.
A clay pawprint created for you is 35.00 and an ink nose or paw print is 25.00. If you wish to create your own paw print, we can help with that as well.

No Cremation

If you wish to transport your pet yourself or if you choose a home burial.

Pets that have been euthanized must be buried properly to prevent secondary poisoning of wildlife and other pets from Pentobarbital (the medication used for euthanasia). To prevent this from happening please follow these steps:

  • Bury at least 4 feet deep and place a layer of Quick Lime at the bottom of the hole.
  • Do not dig over buried electrical lines, sewer or water lines or near trees or building foundations.
  • Pet burials must be on your privately owned property or with the consent of the property owner. It is illegal to bury pets on public, city, county or government owned land.
